Calinos Film Production began its operations in 2000, released the first production in 2001, and has since produced several television series. The company now has a number of diverse projects under its belt, including a soon-to-be-released television movie and three important projects in production.

Bır Salkım Üzüm (A Cluster of Grapes) is an original television movie soon to be released on a Turkish channel, ATV. Bır Salkım Üzüm is about the changing dynamics of a middle-class Turkish family, focusing particularly on the relationship between father and son, which becomes unhinged after the son gets married. Famous theatrical actors Savaş Dinçel and Serpil Tamur star as the father and the mother.

Calinos Film Production has recently acquired the rights to the format of the Mexican drama “What Women Keep in Silence” (“Lo Que Callamos Las Mujeres”). The series' honest and unflinching interpretation of the issues facing women in society today – issues like sexual abuse, alcoholism, eating disorders and infidelity – has become an enormous hit the world over: 650+ episodes are currently broadcast in more than 40 countries around the globe. In 2002 the series won the INTE award for Best Drama Stand-Alone Program. Calinos is adapting the show's cast and scripts into Turkish while retaining the original storylines and overall essence of the show.

Using the original 1986 film as its inspiration, Calinos Film Production is developing a modern version of the hit Turkish film Çalıkuşu (Wren). The original itself was based on the classic Reşat Nuri Güntekin's novel under the same name. It's a simple but timeless story, fully adaptable to modern times. The twist? Our version updates the classic story but interweaves flashbacks from the 1986 version with new footage. The series is set to air in late September or October.

“Off The Record” depicts the unlawfulness which occurs under the cover and has plagued the country for the last ten years, as well as the nameless heroes and heroines who fight them.

Sencer is a financial inspector and Faruk is a police director. Since the two men defend the law, they aren't welcomed. However, their paths will cross on the formation of the anti-crime organisation called “OFF THE RECORD”.

Finally, Calinos is developing an as-yet untitled new television drama. The series centers on greed, corruption, bribery, dirty money and an agent on a mission: expose those involved and bring justice to their victims, in particular, one woman who he can't get off his mind. Casting and development are underway, and the series is tentatively scheduled to hit Turkish television before the end of 2005.
